Leake Auction Company completed a very successful sale in Tulsa over the weekend, reaching $8.4 million in sales. During the three-day sale, 651 lots were presented on the two-lane auction block. When the final hammer dropped on Sunday, 470 of the lots had been sold. The top seller of the weekend was a 2006 Ford GT, fetching $291,500 with the buyer’s premium included.
The auction excitement kicked off at 1pm on Friday, June 10 with 248 vehicles up for bid. Once the auction concluded, consignors and bidders were treated to an exclusive cocktail party in the Grand Hall of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. On Saturday morning, the James C. Leake award was presented to John Ridings Lee of Dallas, Texas for his dedication and contribution to the collector car community. Guests enjoyed brunch Sunday morning before the auction began at 11am.
