Leake Auction Company Hits $11.7 Million in Sales

Tulsa, OK (Wednesday, June 10, 2015) – Leake Auction Company completed a very successful sale in Tulsa over the weekend, reaching $11.7 million in sales. A record-breaking 688 vehicles crossed the two-lane auction block during the three-day sale. When the final hammer dropped on Sunday, 74% of the vehicles had been sold. A 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi and a 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190SL were the top sellers at $165,000 with the buyer’s premium included.

Attendees enjoyed the auction excitement that Leake Auction always delivers. On Saturday, the James C. Leake award was presented to Margaret Dunning posthumously for her dedication and contribution to the collector car community. Margaret passed away at the age of 104 during the ELK Charity Challenge in May. Sunday featured 150 cars that sold as No Reserve from Larry Klairmont of the Klairmont Kollections.

Eight vehicles also reached sales over $100,000:

  • 1966 Shelby GT350H for $133,100 w/BP
  • 2009 Freightliner M2 106 for $130,350 w/BP
  • 1969 Pontiac GTO for $121,000 w/BP
  • 1962 Ferrari Reproduction for $110,000 w/BP
  • 2015 Chevrolet Corvette for $110,000 w/BP
  • 1937 Cord 812 Supercharged for $104,500 w/BP
  • 2012 Aston Martin Virage$101,750 w/BP
