Kruse & Leake Team Up to Present 32nd Annual Dallas Collector Car Show & Auction
Dallas, TX (August 2004) - Nearly 500 cars are expected to be on the auction block when the Kruse/Leake Dallas 2004 auction is held November 19-21, but there is already a great deal of buzz about one particular collectible. Because of its unique status, a 1961 Pontiac Ventura Bubble Top has been the object of much interest and many calls to the Leake auction headquarters in Tulsa, OK.
The Pontiac features factory air, factory 4 speed transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, a power antenna and factory bucket seats, just as it did when it rolled off the assembly line during the early months of the Kennedy Administration.
The auction will again be held at Dallas Market Hall, 2200 Stemmons Freeway, and will feature autos for every taste. Early entries in the 2004 sale include a 1912 Sears Highwheeler, a 1913 International truck, a 1970 Chevelle LS-6 coupe and a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda convertible from the TV series “Nash Bridges.”
This is the 32nd year for the Kruse/Leake auction and the event keeps getting bigger and better. “Last year car sales exceeded $3.7 million,” says Richard Sevenoaks of Leake Auction, “and this year we’re shooting to surpass the $4 million mark. Our recent Tulsa auction was one of the greatest in our history and the nation’s appreciation for fine classic cars and collector cars has grown steadily over the past few years. The Texas market has been marvelous and we’re anticipating one of our greatest auctions ever.”
Sellers who would like to sell their cars at auction, or interested buyers, can get information by calling (800) 722-9942. The Leake Auction Company website can be found at www.leakecar.com. The Kruse International website is www.kruse.com.
Doors will open at 9 am daily with the auction beginning at 1 pm Friday November 19th and at 10 am on Saturday and Sunday, November 20th and 21st.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
